Created by artist Josue Ibañez, the work begins in the cenotes, sacred submerged caves where gold and jade offerings once honored the dead. Over time, nature transforms these relics into haunting new forms: coral-covered faces, liquid-metal flowers, and hybrid creatures that blur the line between organic and artificial. As the piece rises through dense jungle landscapes into radiant golden light, Ceiba explores adaptation, rebirth, and the endless cycle between destruction and creation.
