For Black History Month, W1Curates & Artsy, the largest global online art marketplace, presents Young Black British Artists from London Galleries, featuring three rising art stars: Lee Simmonds, Sahara Longe, and Adébayo Bolaji.

Lee Simmonds’s lively canvases present otherworldly scenes that blend fantasy and reality, where his subjects are part of enigmatic narratives. Sahara Longe’s large-scale canvases employ Renaissance techniques to explore and upend traditions of portraiture by foregrounding Black figures within a markedly white visual history. Adébayo Bolaji’s vibrant canvases portray dynamic figures through a singular, metaphorical visual language.

Artsy’s mission to democratize and expand the art market is backed by its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivity. To that end, Artsy is proud to present the works of these young British artists who are shaping contemporary art of this era.
